This Shower Cleaning Hack Removes Water Deposits FAST

I will be the first to admit, I really really hate cleaning the shower.  I have a standing shower with a glass enclosure.  The hard water deposits on the glass were once impossible to remove.  I have seriously tried a lot of products to cut down the shower cleaning time such as, Scrubbing Bubbles, Kaboom, mixing vinegar with baking soda, vinegar, etc.  Even after I would clean the glass with these products, the glass was never as squeaky clean as I would like it.  Plus, some of these products had to sit on there for a long time to remove water deposits.  I’m a busy Mom, if I can’t clean my bathroom in under 20 minutes total, it probably will get skipped until next time, just saying.  I could never find a product that made cleaning the shower less of a chore.  This shower cleaning hack is a serious game changer.  It now takes me about five minutes to clean the shower.

What is Bar Keepers Friend

Bar Keepers Friend is a glass cook top cleaner.  YUP you heard me.  A stove cleaner cleans the hard water stains better than any of those fancy pants cleaners out there that I have tried.  Since I found ‘the one’ I won’t be trying any others, unless someone can convince me otherwise.

To clean your shower, all you need is some glass cook top cleaner (I use Bar Keepers Friend), a scrub brush (I use an old one that I used to do dishes with), and water.

I squirt or pour the glass top cleaner onto the shower glass, after that, I quickly, and I mean quickly, use my scrub brush to make some circles throughout the glass. This takes me maybe 30 seconds. I let it sit for 2-3 minutes.  During this time I usually clean the toilet or wipe down the counter.  When I come back to the shower I rinse it all off using the shower head. It is seriously MAGIC.

Once all of the product is rinsed away from the glass, I then just wipe it down with a dry cloth.

Here are some photos to show you before and after.

BOOM! No more soap scum. I hope you loved this cleaning tip.  Thanks for reading!
