I don’t know about you but my toddler loves to play with Play-Doh©! The problem is, she takes after her Momma and can be forgetful; she leaves the lid off of the jar at times. We decided to take on the task of making our own. I really like to have Little Goose be involved as much as possible so we made 2 different versions of Play-Doh.
The first one does not involve heat, the second one does.
Lets get started.
Gather your supplies:
1/4 Cup of Salt
1 Cup of Flour (Any kind is fine)
1/2 Cup of Warm Water
You’ll also need a bowl to mix this in (Not Pictured)
(You can get everything you need from Amazon Prime Pantry. Which I am a HUGE fan of!

First grab your Little Helper to help you. Then combine all of your dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl. Mix ’em up.
Next have your Little Helper pick out a color for the play-doh. Mix together 5-10 drops of food coloring in with the warm water, give it a good stir.
Have your little helper pour the water mixture into your dry mixture a little at a time, while you stir it together.
I had to add about 3/4 cup of more flour, it was way too sticky with 1 single cup.
Keep stirring until it turns into a dough.
It is now ready to play with. ♥
I think it turned out great. It had a different texture than regular Play-Doh but Little Goose didn’t care. She had fun making and then playing with it.
Now onto the next color. 🙂
