Most of the time I get on here and talk about my life, what is happening that day. Not today my friends.
Can we for a second talk about the word RESILIENCE? What does that word even mean? The dictionary says it means: the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness / the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.
For me being resilient is all about my clear sense of purpose. Something happens in your life that changes your course, making you redefine who you are. My sense of purpose has evolved over the years. From finishing college to being the best at my job, and now to focusing on being a great wife and mother. You have to find your purpose for this world. You have to adapt. You have to find your “why”!
Let’s watch this video ( I promise you won’t be disappointed) I’m going to be further discussing it in a moment.
AWESOME RIGHT!? Thank you Mateusz M for that!!!! I seriously applaud you.
Lets break this video down.
*Write every one of your goals down.
Make a vision board. Statistics show people who write down their goals have over an 80% higher success rate of achieving them.
Picture yourself in 5 years… What do you want to be doing? Perhaps finishing your degree, moving up in your company, or even starting a family/being home with them. Write it down and work backwards from there.
I can guarantee you this! If you look at that vision board everyday – your goals will become your reality.
*Your why has to be greater than that punch, your why has to be greater than defeat, your why has to be greater than your trials and tribulations.
I have found this to be so very true, with any task that I have accomplished. On those days where I am feeling super discouraged and unappreciated I try my best to remember my why. It puts a smile on my face, changes my attitude and helps me kick it in gear.
*If you don’t know what your why is – and your why isn’t strong enough, you’re gonna get knocked out every single day!
So true! There were times in my life where I was like “why is this happening to me, poor me, poor me, boo hoo me.” Until I found my why. I set goals, with a time frame of when to achieve them. This drove me to find purpose, it drove me to be better.
As they say – get knocked down seven times, get back up eight!
Remember right now life may have you up against the ropes, you can’t give up, you can’t give in. If it was easy everyone would do it. Fight back! You got this! You are worth it!
Shout out to my friend Seth H. for showing me this awesome video! I have watched it at least ten times since.
