I don’t know about you but my toddler loves to play with Play-Doh©! The problem is, she takes after her Momma and can be forgetful; she leaves the lid off of the jar at times. We decided to take on the task of making our own. We made two different versions of Play Dough. This version involves the stove. Little Goose didn’t get to help me very much with making this one, but she had a lot of fun playing with it after.
Lets get started.
Gather Your Supplies:
1 Cup of Water
1 Cup of Flour
2 Teaspoons of Cream Of Tarter (Yes I photo shopped it in the picture haha)
1/3 Cup of Salt
1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil

In a large pot, stir together Flour, Cream of Tarter, and Salt.
Next add water and oil. Stir it up and add your coloring.
This next part is going to happen really fast!
Cook on medium heat and stir. Keep stirring until ingredients become a dough.
Remove Play Dough from pan and knead together. You’ll want it to cool down for a few minutes first.
Now its ready to play with!
♥This makes a lot of dough, more than Little Goose can handle at a time. My suggestion would be to leave out the food coloring until the dough is made. Then divide the dough into 3 or 4 bags, add separate coloring into each bag, then knead it together.
This is by far my favorite recipe. It has such a good texture and is way fun to play with.
*AND just in case you are wondering. YES you do need Cream of Tarter. I had tried it without and the dough doesn’t last as long.
